Frequently Asked Questions

Depending on the package chosen, the New Year's Eve tour in Copacabana typically includes round-trip transportation to/from your hotel or meeting point, assistance from a local guide, a wristband/access to a designated area, and logistical coordination for watching the fireworks on the beach. Some options may include drinks, snacks, dinner, or VIP access, while extras such as premium beverages, tips, and personal expenses are usually not included. The guide's language (Spanish/English/Portuguese) may vary. Always check your tour voucher to confirm exactly what is included, schedules, baggage policy, and contact details for the tour operator in Rio de Janeiro.

The New Year's tour in Rio de Janeiro typically operates on the night of the 31st, with early departures to avoid traffic disruptions and avenue closures in Copacabana. The meeting point may be at your hotel (pick-up) or at a central location in the South Zone (e.g., Copacabana/Ipanema), depending on the option booked. The estimated duration is usually 6 to 8 hours, including transfers and the midnight fireworks display. Exact times, pick-up windows, and return details are confirmed by voucher or WhatsApp 24–48 hours prior. Please also review instructions regarding delays, on-route assistance, and post-event procedures.

You can book online with secure payment (credit card, digital payment gateway) and confirmation via email or e-voucher. Given the high demand for New Year's Eve tours in Rio de Janeiro, it's advisable to book in advance, as spaces are limited and prices may vary depending on availability. Change and cancellation policies vary depending on the operator and the date: policies are usually more restrictive around holidays and may include penalties or be non-refundable. Review cancellation deadlines, rescheduling options, and identification requirements. Keep your booking confirmation and maintain active contact information for support in case of any changes before the tour.

New Year's Eve in Copacabana is a massive outdoor event with large crowds. An organized tour provides added security: a tour guide, a clearly identified group, and coordinated transfers. It's suitable for families with accompanied children and seniors who can tolerate walking and crowds. Comfortable closed-toe shoes are recommended, as well as staying hydrated and avoiding carrying valuables. Accessibility may be limited on the sand and in very crowded areas; check for options for restricted access or designated zones before booking. Stay with the group at all times, follow the guide's instructions, and keep your phone charged. Consider having travel insurance and keeping your documents readily available.

The tradition in Rio de Janeiro is to wear white for good luck, but you can add colorful accessories. Because of the tropical climate, wear light clothing, comfortable closed-toe shoes, a hat, insect repellent, and sunscreen. Bring a lightweight rain jacket (in case of rain), a power bank, your ID, and some cash for emergencies. Avoid glass containers, sharp objects, and large bags, as these may be restricted for security reasons. Consider a reusable water bottle if regulations allow. Arrive early, follow your tour guide, and prioritize organized or public transportation. Keep your phone handy to coordinate your return after the fireworks.
